But when he saw many of the Prushim [Pharisees] and Zadokim [Sadducees] come to his mikveh [baptism], he said unto them, “Who hath warned you to flee from the wrath to come, you generation of vipers? Bring forth fruits indicative of repentance, and think not to say within yourselves, 'Avraham is our father!' I say to you, that Yahovah is able of these stones to raise up children unto Avraham. Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness, for their hunger shall be satisfied. Blessed are the merciful. for they shall obtain mercy. Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see Yahovah. Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called the children of Yahovah. Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness' sake, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
