Yitschaq is the correct Hebrew pronunciation of Isaac - spelled Yod (with a Hireq), Tsade (with a Sheva), Chet (with a Qamets), Qoph, or Yitschaq.
If you look at the letters in their individual meaning, you get Hand (Yod), to pull out or draw out (Tsade), Separate, fence or protect (Chet) and what is behind, or last, least final or future (Qoph).
It is interesting that Yitschaq’s son Ya'aqov (Jacob), when going to meet his brother Esav (Genesis 33), who he thought was going to kill him, that he pulled out Rachel and her children and put them in the rear of his company.
Yitschaq's name was prophetic that his son would do this; that is Ya'aqov was the hand (Yod) that would pull out (Tsade) and separate or guard (Chet) what was behind to protect that future (Qoph), who was Yoseph, who would save his brothers and his father from the famine that came upon the whole earth.
