Aviv Barley
"This month shall be the beginning of months for you;
it is to be the first month of the year to you.” (Exodus 12:2)
Dear Friends,
We are back from another successful
Aviv Search and feel very blessed by the protection and provisions
Yehovah provided us and for all your heartfelt prayers! Reidar wrote:
"We want to encourage you in the moon sighting and in the search for
barley in the state of aviv. Right now there are several people,
including couples, who have joined in a 3 days fast to support you guys
in the sighting, and in particular the aviv search, during these
challenging times. Be brave and courageous, and may YHWH be with you,
guide and protect you, lead you and embrace you! Shalom."
We carried out this Aviv Search on Tuesday, March 24, 2020, while Israel was on lockdown due to the corona virus, and inspected the wild volunteer barley growing in the Northern Negev, which is in the South of Israel. We concentrated our search in this region, as we have found the climate in this area to be particularly conducive to the maturity of the barley, and one of the earliest places in which barley ripens in Israel. We did not know what we would find when we set out on our search and approached our inspection with humility and openness to whatever we would discover.
We are pleased to be able to report that the barley has continued to develop nicely since our previous inspection and that on this trip we found sufficient quantities of barley that was aviv and even more ripe. We therefore recommend beginning the new year with the New Moon of March 25, 2020.

If reliable first-hand New Moon and Aviv Reports from Israel are of value to you, please consider supporting our efforts. We could really use your support in restoring the Biblical Calendar.
