The Pharisees and Sadducees at John’s Baptism

But when he saw many of the Prushim [Pharisees] and Zadokim [Sadducees] come to his mikveh [baptism], he said unto them, “Who hath warned you to flee from the wrath to come, you generation of vipers? Bring forth fruits indicative of repentance, and think not to say within yourselves, 'Avraham is our father!' I say to you, that Yahovah is able of these stones to raise up children unto Avraham. I indeed mikveh you in water {in this day of} repentance. but he that comes after me is mightier than I, whose sandals I am not worthy to unloose. Seeing the multitudes, Yeshua went up into a mountain.
