ב Tas'loniqim ג

2 Thessalonians 3 (CKJV)

1 Finally, brothers, pray for us, that the Word of  יְהֹוָה  may have free course, and be glorified, even as it is with you:

And that we may be delivered from unreasonable and wicked men: for all men have not faith.

But the Master is faithful, Who shall establish you, and keep you from the evil one.

And we have confidence in the Master concerning you, that you both do and will do the things which we command you.

And the Master direct your hearts into the love of Elohim, and into the patient endurance, waiting in and for HaMashiach.

Now we command you, brothers, in the Name of our Master יֵשׁוּעַ HaMashiach, that you withdraw yourselves from every brother that walks disorderly, and not according to the tradition which you received from us.

For yourselves know how you ought to follow us: for we behaved not ourselves disorderly among you;

Neither did we eat any man's bread without paying for it; but worked with labor and toil night and day, that we might not be a burden to any of you:

Not because we do not have authority, but to make ourselves an example, for to you to follow us.

10 For even when we were with you, this we commanded you, that if any would not work, neither should he eat.

11 For we hear - that there are some which walk among you disorderly, working not at all, but are busybodies.

12 Now them that are such we command and exhort by our Master Yeshua HaMashiach, that with quietness they work, and eat their own bread.

13 But you, brothers, be not weary in doing good.

14 And if any man obey not our word by this letter, note that man, and have no company with him, that he may be ashamed.

15 Yet count him not as an enemy, but admonish him as a brother.

16 Now the Master of peace Himself give you peace always by all means. The Master be with you all.

17 The salutation of Sha'ul with mine own hand, which is the token in every epistle: so I write.

18 The grace of our Master Yeshua HaMashiach be with you all. Amen.

ב Tas'loniqim ב

ב Tas'loniqim ב

2 Thessalonians 2 (CKJV)

1 As to the coming of our Master יֵשׁוּעַ HaMashiach and our gathering together unto Him, we ask you, brothers,

That you be not easily shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, or by word, or by letter as from us, as if The Day of  יְהֹוָה  is at hand.

Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;

Who opposes and exalts himself above all that is called Elohim, or that is worshiped; so that he sits as Elohim in the temple of Elohim, showing himself that he is Elohim.

5 Do you not remember that I told you these things when I was still with you?

And now you know what restrains, for him to be revealed in his time.

For the mystery of lawlessness is already at work: only until he who now restrains comes out from among.

And then will that lawless one be revealed, whom the Master shall consume with the Spirit of His mouth (Isaiah 11:4), and shall destroy with the manifestation of His coming:

Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders,

10 And with all deceit of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they did not receive the love of the truth, that they might be saved.

11 And for this cause Elohim shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:

12 That they all might be judged who did not believe the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.

13 But we are bound to give thanks always to Elohim for you, brothers, beloved of the Master, because Elohim has from the beginning chosen you to salvation through dedication of the Spirit and belief of the truth:

14 Unto which He called you by our Good News, to the obtaining of the glory of our Master Yeshua HaMashiach.

15 Therefore, brothers, stand fast and hold the traditions which you have been taught, whether by word, or our letter.

16 Now our Master Yeshua HaMashiach Himself, and our Elohim and Father, Who has loved us, and has given us everlasting encouragement and good expectation through grace,

17 Comfort your hearts, and establish you in every good word and work.

ב Tas'loniqim א

2 Thessalonians 1 (CKJV)

1 Sha'ul, and Silas, and Timotiyos, unto the assembly of the Thessalonians in Elohim our Father and the Master יֵשׁוּעַ HaMashiach:

Grace unto you, and peace, from Elohim our Father and the Master Yeshua HaMashiach.

We ought to give thanks to Elohim always for you, brothers, as it is proper, because your faith grows exceedingly, and the love of every one of you all toward each other abounds;

So that we ourselves boast of you in the assemblies of Elohim for your patience and faith in all your persecutions and tribulations which you are enduring:

Which is manifest evidence of the righteous judgment of Elohim, that you may be counted worthy of the kingdom of Elohim, for which you also suffer:

Seeing it is a righteous thing with Elohim to repay tribulation to them that afflict you;

And to you who are troubled rest with us, when the Master Yeshua shall be revealed from heaven with His mighty angels,

In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not Elohim, and that obey not the gospel of our Master Yeshua HaMashiach:

Who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Master, and from the glory of His power;

10 When He shall come to be glorified in His saints, and to be admired in all them that believe in that day, because our testimony to you was believed.

11 Wherefore also we pray always for you, that our Elohim would count you worthy of this calling, and complete all the good pleasure of His goodness, and the work of faith with power:

12 That the Name of our Master Yeshua HaMashiach may be glorified in you, and you in Him, according to the grace of our Elohim and the Master Yeshua HaMashiach.

Happy Sabbath Eve and Sabbath - May 26th, 2017

א Tas'loniqim ה

א Tas'loniqim ה

1 Thessalonians 5 (CKJV)

1 But of the times and the moedim, brothers, you have no need that I write to you.

For yourselves know perfectly that the day of  יְהֹוָה  comes as a thief in the night.

For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction comes upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape.

But you, brothers, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief.

You are all the children of light, and the children of the day: we are not of the night, nor of darkness.

Therefore let us not sleep, as do others; but let us watch and be sober.

For they that sleep sleep in the night; and they that are drunk are drunk in the night.

But let us, who are of the day, be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love; and for an helmet, the hope of salvation.

For Elohim has not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Master יֵשׁוּעַ HaMashiach,

10 Who died for us, that, whether we wake or sleep, we should live together with Him.

11 Wherefore encourage yourselves together, and build up one another, even as you also do.

12 And we beg you, brothers, to know them which labor among you, and are over you in the Master, and admonish you;

13 And to esteem them very highly in love for their work's sake. And be at peace among yourselves.

14 Now we exhort you, brothers, warn them that are unruly, encourage the faint-hearted, support the weak, be patient toward all.

15 See that none render evil for evil unto any man; but ever follow that which is good, both among yourselves, and to all men.

16 Rejoice evermore.

17 Pray without ceasing.

18 In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of Elohim in Mashiach Yeshua concerning you.

19 Quench not the Spirit.

20 Despise not prophesies.

21 Prove all things; hold fast that which is good.

22 Abstain from all appearance of evil.

23 And the very Elohim of peace dedicate you wholly; and I pray Elohim your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Master Yeshua HaMashiach.

24 Faithful is He that calls you, Who also will do it.

25 Brothers, pray for us.

26 Greet all the brethren with a set-apart kiss.

27 I charge you by the Master that this epistle be read unto all the set-apart brothers.

28 The grace of our Master Yeshua HaMashiach be with you. Amen.

א Tas'loniqim ד

א Tas'loniqim ד

1 Thessalonians 4 (KJV)

1 Furthermore then we beg you, brothers, and call upon you by the Master יֵשׁוּעַ, that as you have received of us how you ought to walk and to please Elohim, so you would excell more and more.

For you know what commandments we gave you by the Master Yeshua.

For this is the will of Elohim, even your set-apartness, that you should abstain from fornication:

That every one of you should know how to possess his vessel in sanctification and honor;

Not in the passion of lust, even as the Nations which do not know Elohim:

That no man go beyond and defraud his brother in this matter: because that the Master is the avenger of all such, as we also have forewarned you and testified.

For Elohim has not called us unto uncleanness, but to dedication.

He therefore that despises, despises not man, but Elohim, Who has also given to us His Ruach Kodesh.

But as touching brotherly love you need not that I write to you: for you yourselves are taught of Elohim to love one another.

10 And indeed you do it toward all the brothers which are in all Makedonia: but we beg you, brothers, that you increase more and more;

11 And that you study to be quiet, and to do your own business, and to work with your own hands, as we commanded you;

12 That you may walk honestly toward them that are without, and that you may have lack of nothing.

13 But I would not have you to be ignorant, brothers, concerning them which are asleep, that you sorrow not, even as others which have no hope.

14 For if we believe that Yeshua died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Yeshua will Elohim bring with Him.

15 For this we say unto you by the Word of the Master, that we which are alive and remain to the coming of the Master shall not go before them which are asleep.

16 For the Master Himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of Elohim: and the dead in HaMashiach shall rise first:

17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Master in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Master.

18 So then encourage one another with these words.

א Tas'loniqim ג

א Tas'loniqim ג

1 Thessalonians 3 (CKJV)

1 So when we could no longer stand it, we thought it good to be left at Athens alone;

And sent Timotiyos, our brother, and minister of Elohim, and our fellow worker in the Good News of Mashiach, to establish you, and to encourage you concerning your faith:

That no man should be moved by these afflictions: for yourselves know that we are appointed to this.

For truly, when we were with you, we told you before that we should suffer tribulation; even as it came to pass, and you know.

5 Because of this, when I could no longer bear it, I sent to know about your faith, lest by some means the tempter having tempted you, and our labor be in vain.

But now when Timotiyos came from you to us, and brought us good news of your faith and love, and that you have good remembrance of us always, desiring greatly to see us, as we also to see you:

Therefore, brethren, we were comforted because of you in all our affliction and distress by your faith:

For now we live, if you stand fast in the Master.

For what thanks can we render to Elohim again for you, for all the joy wherewith we rejoice for your sake before our Elohim;

10 Night and day praying exceedingly that we might see your face, and might perfect that which is lacking in your faith?

11 Now Elohim Himself and our Father, and our Master יֵשׁוּעַ HaMashiach, direct our way unto you.

12 And the Master make you to increase and abound in love one toward another, and toward all men, even as we do toward you:

13 To the end that He may establish your hearts blameless in set-apartness before Elohim, even our Father, at the coming of our Master Yeshua HaMashiach with all His set-apart ones.

א Tas'loniqim ב

1 Thessalonians 2 (CKJV)

1 For yourselves, brothers, know our coming to you was not in vain:

But even after we had suffered before, and were shamefully treated at Philippi, as you know, we were bold in our Elohim to speak to you the Good News of Elohim in much struggle.

For our appeal was not of delusion, nor of uncleanness, nor in deceit:

But as we were allowed of Elohim to be put in trust with the Good News, even so we speak; not as pleasing men, but Elohim, Who proves our hearts.

For neither at any time did we use flattering words, as you know, nor a cloke of greed; Elohim is witness:

Nor were we looking for praise from men, neither of you, nor yet of others, when we might have been a burden to you, as the apostles of Mashiach.

But we were gentle among you, like a nursing mother warmly loving her own children:

So having a tender affection for you, we were willing to to share with you, not only the Good News of Elohim, but also our own lives, because you have become dear to us.

For you remember, brothers, our toil and hardship: for laboring night and day, in order not to burden any of you, we preached to you the Good News of Elohim.

10 You are witnesses, and Elohim also, how set-apart and righteously and blamelessly we behaved ourselves among you that believe:

11 As you know how we encouraged and comforted and bore witness to every one of you, as a father does his children,

12 That you would walk worthy of Elohim, Who is calling you into His Kingdom and Glory.

13 For this cause also we thank Elohim without ceasing, because, when you received the Word of Elohim which you heard of us, you received it not as the word of men, but as it is in truth, the Word of Elohim, which effectually works also in you that believe.

14 For you, brothers, became followers of the assemblies of Elohim which are in Yehudah in Mashiach Yeshua: for you also have suffered like things of your own countrymen, even as they have of the Yehudim:

15 Who killed both the Master Yeshua, and their own prophets, and have persecuted us; and they please not Elohim, and are hostile to all men:

16 Forbidding us to speak to the Nations that they might be saved, to fill up their sins always: for the wrath is come upon them to the uttermost.

17 But we, brothers, having been taken from you for a short time - in presence, not in heart - were much more eager to see your face, with great desire.

18 Wherefore we would have come to you, even I Sha'ul, more than once; but Satan hindered us.

19 For what is our hope, or joy, or crown of rejoicing? Is it not even you, in the presence of our Master Yeshua HaMashiach at His coming?

20 For you are our glory and joy.

א Tas'loniqim א

1 Thessalonians 1 (CKJV)

1 Sha'ul, and Silas, and Timotiyos, to the assembly of the Thessalonians in Elohim the Father and the Master יֵשׁוּעַ HaMashiach: Grace be unto you, and peace, from Elohim our Father, and the Master Yeshua HaMashiach.

We give thanks to Elohim always for you all, making mention of you in our prayers;

Remembering without ceasing your work of faith, and labor of love, and patience of hope in our Master Yeshua HaMashiach, in the sight of Elohim and our Father;

Knowing, brothers beloved of Elohim, that you were chosen.

For our Good News came not to you in word only, but also in power, and in the Ruach Kodesh, and in much assurance; as you know what manner of men we were among you for your sake.

And you became imitators of us, and of the Master, having received the Word in much affliction, with joy of the Set-Apart Spirit.

So that you were examples to all that believe in Makedonia and Achaia.

For from you the Word of the Master has sounded forth, not only in Makedonia and Achaia, but also in every place your faith toward Elohim has gone out; so that we need not speak anything.

For they themselves report to us what kind of reception we had with you, and how you turned to Elohim from idols to serve the living and true Elohim;

10 And to wait for His Son from the shamayim, whom He raised from the dead, even Yeshua, Who is delivering us from the wrath to come.

The Symbol of the Fig Tree, It's not what you think

http://carbontrappers.org/wp-content/uploads/2014/08/old-olive-tree.jpg
Olive Tree
Most people think the "fig tree" is a sign for Israel because of the error of Hal Lindsey, who also got everything else wrong in prophecy in his book, "The Late Great Planet Earth."

We see in the Scriptures, however, that the tree that is associated with Israel is the olive tree, not the fig tree, Romans 11:24 for example. Contrary to popular belief, Israel has not yet been gathered, as was prophesied in Isaiah 66:8 which is yet to come, but very soon now will.

The first mention of the fig tree is when Adam and Eve tried to cover their shame with the leaves of the fig tree, which is a symbol of man-made religion that seeks to cover sins apart from YHVH, through man's own efforts. The Pharisees typified this effort with all of their self-made laws and ordinances that Yeshua condemned, just as He condemned the fig tree, Matthew 21:19-20.

The first mention of the olive tree in Scriptures is in Genesis 8:11, as a symbol of peace between Elohim and man when a dove returned to Noach's arc with the leaf of the olive tree, Yehovah offering His leaves for healing, and then the oil of the olive we see in Exodus and Leviticus as a symbol of the Set-Apart Spirit, giving light and praise to Elohim.  In  Deuteronomy the olive oil is our blessing and in Samuel our anointing, and in Psalms we see that the Yehovah's children are like an olive tree, 52:8, and Jeremiah 11:16, and in Romans grafted in.  Who then is the Olive Tree, giving Oil to His children?

It is יְהֹוָה and His children abide in Him.

1 Peter 5 (KJV)

1 The elders which are among you I exhort, who am also an elder, and a witness of the sufferings of Mashiach, and also a partaker of the glory that shall be revealed:

Feed the flock of Elohim which is among you, taking the oversight thereof, not by constraint, but willingly; not for filthy lucre, but of a ready mind;

Neither as being lords over Elohim's heritage, but being examples to the flock.

And when the chief Shepherd shall appear, you shall receive a crown of glory that fades not away.

Likewise, you younger, submit yourselves unto the elder. Yes, all of you be subject one to another, and be clothed with humility: for "Elohim resists the proud, and gives grace to the humble." (Proverbs 3:34)

Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of Elohim, that He may exalt you in due time:

Casting all your care upon Him; for He cares for you.

Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walking about, seeking whom he may devour:

9 Resist him and be firm in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are experienced by your brethren that are in the world.

10 But the Elohim of all grace, who has called us unto His eternal glory by Mashiach יֵשׁוּעַ, after that you have suffered a while, make you perfect, establishing, strengthening, and settling you.

11 To Him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.

12 By Silvanus, a faithful brother unto you, as I suppose, I have written briefly, exhorting, and testifying that this is the true grace of Elohim wherein you stand.

13 The Assembly that is at Babylon, elected together with you, salutes you; and so does Marcus my son.

14 Greet one another with a kiss of love. Peace be with you all that are in Mashiach Yeshua. Amen.

The Coming of the Messiah- Are the signs in the stars? w/ Steve Moutria

א Kepha ד

1 Peter 4 (KJV)

1 Forasmuch then as Mashiach suffered for us in the flesh, arm yourselves likewise with the same mind: for he that hath suffered in the flesh hath ceased from sin;

That he no longer should live the rest of his time in the flesh to the lusts of men, but to the will of Elohim.

For we have spent enough of our past lifetime in doing the will of the nations, when we walked in lasciviousness, lusts, excess of wine, orgies, wild parties, and abominable idolatries:

4 in which they think it strange that you run not with them to the same excess of riot, speaking evil of you:

5 who shall give account to Him that is ready to judge the living and the dead.

For for this cause was the gospel preached also to them that are dead, that they might be judged according to men in the flesh, but live according to Elohim in the spirit.

But the end of all things is at hand: be you therefore sober, and watch unto prayer.

And above all things have fervent love among yourselves: for love shall cover the multitude of sins. (Proverbs 10:12)

9 Welcome one another without grumbling.

10 As every man has received the gift, even so minister the same one to another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of Elohim.

11 If any man speak, let him speak as the Words of Elohim; if any man minister, let him do it as of the ability which Elohim gives: that Elohim in all things may be glorified through יֵשׁוּעַ HaMashiach, to whom be praise and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.

12 Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened unto you:

13 But rejoice, inasmuch as you are partakers of Mashiach's sufferings; that, when His glory shall be revealed, you may be glad also with exceeding joy.

14 If you are reproached for the Name of Mashiach, happy are you; for the Spirit of glory and of Elohim rests upon you: on their part He is blasphemed, but on your part He is glorified.

15 But let none of you suffer as a murderer, or as a thief, or as an evildoer, or as a busybody in other men's matters.

16 Yet if any man suffer as a follower of Mashiach, let him not be ashamed; but let him glorify Elohim because of this.

17 For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of Elohim: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of Elohim?

18 And if the righteous one is scarcely saved, where shall the ungodly and the sinner appear? (Proverbs 11:31)

19 Wherefore let them that suffer according to the will of Elohim commit the keeping of their souls to Him in doing good, as unto a faithful Creator.

Psalm 107

א Kepha ג

1 Peter 3 (KJV)

1 Likewise, you wives, be in subjection to your own husbands; that, if any obey not the Word, they also may without the Word be won by the conversation of the wives;

While they behold your chaste conversation coupled with fear.

Whose adorning let it not be that outward adorning of plaiting the hair, and of wearing of gold, or of putting on of apparel;

But let it be the hidden man of the heart, in that which is not corruptible, even the ornament of a meek and quiet spirit, which is in the sight of Elohim of great price.

For after this manner in the old time the set-apart women also, who trusted in Elohim, adorned themselves, being in subjection unto their own husbands:

Even as Sara obeyed Avraham, calling him master: whose daughters you are, as long as you do well, and are not afraid with any amazement.

Likewise, you husbands, dwell with them according to knowledge, giving honour unto the wife, as unto the weaker vessel, and as being heirs together of the grace of life; that your prayers be not hindered.

Finally, be you all of one mind, having compassion one of another, love as brethren, be tenderhearted, be humble-minded:

Not rendering evil for evil, or railing for railing: but contrariwise blessing; knowing that you are thereunto called, that you should inherit a blessing.

10 For "he that wishes to love life, and see good days, let him keep his tongue from evil, and his lips from speaking deceit:

11 Let him turn away from evil, and do good; let him seek peace, and pursue it.

12 For the eyes of  יְהֹוָה  are on the righteous, and His ears are open unto their prayers: but the face of  יְהֹוָה  is against those that do evil." (Psalms 34:12-16)

13 And who is he that will harm you, if you are followers of that which is good?

14 But and if you suffer for righteousness' sake, happy are you: "and be not afraid of their terror, neither be troubled;" (Isaiah 8:12)

15 But set-apart  יְהֹוָה  Elohim in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asks you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear:

16 Having a good conscience; that, whereas they speak evil of you, as of evildoers, they may be ashamed that falsely accuse your good conversation in Mashiach.

17 For it is better, if the will of Elohim be so, that you suffer for well doing, than for evil doing.

18 For Mashiach also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that He might bring us to Elohim, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Ruach:

19 By which also He went and preached unto the spirits in prison;

20 Which sometime were disobedient, when once the longsuffering of Elohim waited in the days of Noah, while the ark was being prepared, wherein few, that is, eight souls were saved by water.

21 The like figure of even baptism does also now save us (not a putting away of the filth of the flesh, but the answer of a good conscience toward Elohim,) by the resurrection of Yeshua HaMashiach:

22 Who is gone into heaven, and is at the right hand of Elohim; (Psalms 110:1) angels and authorities and powers being made subject unto Him.

א Kepha ב

1 Peter 2 (CKJV)

1 Wherefore laying aside all malice, and all guile, and hypocrisies, and envies, and all evil speakings,

As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the Word, that you may grow thereby:

If so be you have tasted that the Master is gracious.

To Whom coming, as unto a living stone, disallowed indeed of men, but chosen of Elohim, and precious,

You also, as lively stones, are built up a spiritual house, an holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to Elohim by יֵשׁוּעַ HaMashiach.

Wherefore also it is contained in the scripture, "Behold, I lay in Tsiyon a chief corner stone, chosen, precious, and he who believes on Him shall by no means be put to shame." (Isaiah 28:16)

Unto you therefore which believe He is precious: but unto them which be disobedient, "The stone which the builders rejected, has become the chief corner-stone," (Psalms 118:22)

And "A stone of stumbling, and a rock that makes for falling," (Isaiah 8:14) even to them which stumble at the Word, being disobedient: to which also they were appointed.

But you are a chosen generation, (Deut. 10:15b) a royal priesthood, (Isaiah 61:6c) a set-apart nation, (Samuel 19:6d) a peculiar people (Isaiah 43:21e); that you should proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvellous light;

10 Which in time past were not a people, but are now the people of Elohim: which had not obtained compassion, but now have obtained compassion. (Hosea.1:9,10, 2:23f)

11 Dearly beloved, I beseech you as strangers and pilgrims, abstain from fleshly lusts, which war against the soul;

12 Having your conversation honest among the Gentiles: that, whereas they speak against you as evildoers, they may by your good works, which they shall behold, glorify Elohim in the day of visitation.

13 Submit yourselves to every ordinance of man because of the Master: whether it be to the king, as supreme;

14 Or unto governors, as to them that are sent by Him for the punishment of evildoers, and for the praise of them that do well.

15 For so is the will of Elohim, that with well doing you may put to silence the ignorance of foolish men:

16 As free, and not using your liberty for a cloke of maliciousness, but as the servants of Elohim.

17 Honour all men. Love the brotherhood. Fear Elohim. Honour the king.

18 Servants, be subject to your masters with all fear; not only to the good and gentle, but also to the froward.

19 For this is favor, if a man for conscience toward Elohim endure grief, suffering wrongfully.

20 For what glory is it, if, when you are beaten for your faults, you shall take it patiently? but if, when you do well, and suffer for it, you take it patiently, this is acceptable with Elohim.

21 For even to this were you called: because Mashiach also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that you should follow His steps:

22 "Who did no sin, neither was deceit found in His mouth:" (Isaiah 53:9)

23 Who, when He was reviled, reviled not again; when He suffered, He threatened not; but committed Himself to Him that judges righteously:

24 Who Himself bore our sins (Isaiah 53:4) in His own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by Whose stripes you were healed. (Isaiah 53:5)

25 For you were like sheep going astray; (Isaiah 53:6) but are now returned unto the Shepherd and Overseer of your souls.

א Kepha א

1 Peter 1 (CKJV)

1 Kepha, an apostle of יֵשׁוּעַ HaMashiach, to the strangers scattered throughout Pontos, Galatia, Kappadokia, Asia, and Bithunia,

Elect according to the foreknowledge of Elohim the Father, through sanctification of the Spirit, unto obedience and sprinkling of the Blood of Yeshua HaMashiach: Grace unto you, and peace, be multiplied.

Blessed be the Elohim and Father of our Master Yeshua HaMashiach, which according to His abundant mercy has begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Yeshua HaMashiach from the dead,

To an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fades not away, reserved in heaven for you,

Who are kept by the power of Elohim through faith unto salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.

Wherein you greatly rejoice, though now for a season, if need be, you are in heaviness through manifold temptations:

That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perishes, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Yeshua HaMashiach:

Whom having not seen, you love; in Whom, though now you see Him not, yet believing, you rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory:

Receiving the end of your faith, even the salvation of your souls.

10 Of which salvation the prophets have enquired and searched diligently, who prophesied of the grace that should come unto you:

11 Searching what, or what manner of time the Spirit of HaMashiach which was in them did signify, when it testified beforehand the sufferings of Mashiach, and the glory that should follow.

12 Unto whom it was revealed, that not unto themselves, but unto us they did minister the things, which are now reported unto you by them that have preached the gospel unto you with the Holy Spirit sent down from heaven; which things the angels desire to look into.

13 Wherefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and hope to the end for the grace that is to be brought to you at the revelation of Yeshua HaMashiach;

14 As obedient children, not fashioning yourselves according to the former lusts in your ignorance:

15 But as He which has called you is set-apart [Kadosh - dedicated], so be you kadosh in all manner of conversation;

16 Because it is written, "Be you set-apart; for I am set-apart." [Leviticus 11:44, 19:2]

17 And if you call on the Father, who without respect of persons judges according to every man's work, pass the time of your sojourning here in fear:

18 Forasmuch as you know that you were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers;

19 But with the precious Blood of Mashiach, as of a Lamb without blemish and without spot:

20 Who truly was foreordained before the foundation of the world, but was manifest in these last times for you,

21 Who by Him do believe in Elohim, that raised Him up from the dead, and gave Him glory; that your faith and hope might be in Elohim.

22 Seeing you have purified your souls in obeying the Truth through the Spirit unto unfeigned love of the brethren, see that you love one another with a pure heart fervently:

23 Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the Word of Elohim, which lives and abides for ever.

24 "For all flesh is as grass, and all the glory of man as the flower of grass. The grass withers, and its flower falls away:

25 But the word of יְהֹוָה endures for ever," [Isaiah 40:6-8] And this is the Word which by the Gospel is preached to you.

GUEST SPEAKER Trevor Rubenstein: Yeshua's Kingdom

His Holy Name; How is the letter ו Pronounced?

יְהֹוָה

Yahweh, Ye-WHO-ah, or Ye-Ho-Vah?

Seems everyone has a different pronunciation of His Holy Name these days. Some have done a great deal of study in this matter and have come to different conclusions, and such a work demands respect to those that have done such a study and who's love for Yehovah has led them down this road to know how to pronounce His Holy Name. Most people use the pronunciation Yahweh or Yah-Who-ah, because that has been what was taught in most Hebraic Studies courses in Seminaries across the Anglo-world. Yet there is another view also with very valid reasoning as well as a Scriptural basis.

Pay particular attention the the rhymes found in Scripture using the letter "Betב and the letter "Vav" ו . No one doubts the "v" sound of the Bet when there is no dagesh in its belly, and that sound is never associated with the "waw" sound, but the "vav" sound, so the second letter can have the sound "Bet" or "Vet". There is no dispute in this matter.

"Wow" its a vav!

No doubt different groups have different accents and have developed different pronunciations, but what is the Scriptural accent? When we see the empty Bet used as a rhyme with the letter Vav, it is a pretty good indication that the Vav is pronounced with the "Vav" sound and not the "Waw" sound.

So should we be looking to different people groups and ancient cultures for the pronunciation or the Scriptures? You decide.

But what ever you decide, look at Ezekiel where he uses a word sometimes with the Bet and sometimes with the Vav. In Ezekiel 23:35 and 43:13 the word "back" (transliterated Gav and Gab) is spelled  Gimel - Vav - Kaf  and then  Gimel - Bet, respectively, showing these letters (and sounds) are interchangeable. We also see this in 1 Kings 14:9 where the word for "back" is spelled with the Vav, as well as other examples in the Scriptures. So Ezekiel would have pronounced the Holy Name as Ye-ho-Vah, not Ye-Who-ah, or even Yahweh.

Ancient liturgical poems also use rhymes using the Vav and the Bet, if you want to look at ancient people groups in Biblical times. The waw sound comes from the Arabic pronunciation, again without dispute; but not from ancient Israel or the Scriptures.

For further reference, I recommend these videos Nehemiah Gordon did with Michael Rood on the Sacred Name.
